School App - BCE Connect

bceapp.bmpOur school App is up and running! It’s called BCE Connect and you can download it from the Apple or Google App Stores right now.
You will need your Parent Portal Login to access the locked areas of the App. (ie. announcements, calendar) Early next week the office will send all Parent Portal logins to the nominated email account. If you know your Parent Portal login then you will be able to start using the App right now.
The BCE Connect mobile app makes it easy for you to keep up to date with school events and information. The App will allow you to easily access the school calendar, school contacts and you’ll also be able to use the ‘absences’ button to quickly notify the school if your child is away. The latest version of BCE Connect allows us to send announcements as a push notice to anyone who has installed the app and ‘favourited’ our school.
The push notification feature may be used to send an emergency announcement or to highlight an important message. The notification presents on a mobile device similar to a SMS text message. You do not have to open the app to see the notification. The app has an in-built feedback form, and anyone can send feedback to the BCE Connect development team.
Please note: The BCE Connect App will be added to communication systems already in place at St Stephen’s. That is, our school website, Facebook page, absentee phone line etc, will continue to operate as they have in previous years. The App is NOT replacing any systems that are already in place.
