Inclusive Education

At St Stephen's, Inclusion aligns with the St Stephen's Way of Learning, supporting all students to achieve their best. We focus on ensuring that all of our students engage in their learning equitably. We adhere to the two main regulatory frameworks - the Disability Discrimination Act 1992 and The Disability Standards of Education 2005, to ensure full Inclusion.  At St Stephen's we aim to support all students to access the Australian Curriculum in alignment with The Alice Springs (Mparntwe) Education Declaration, “supporting every student to be the very best they can be".

On a daily basis, our teams make adjustments to learning for all students, depending on their needs and learning style. These adjustments are well considered and planned for, allowing all students to access learning.

Staff value and appreciate the uniqueness and individuality of each student and endeavour to provide opportunities so that all students experience success at school. We seek to provide an environment that supports opportunities for all students to advance at their own pace.
